6th July 2009
Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe
Wind Direction: se
Wind Stength: 10 to 18+
Surf / Sea State: choppy
Air Temperature: 22
Sea Temperature: 15
Weather: sunny
Max Speed: 22.71 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 26 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

I got down at 4 just as the wind had eased and most people were sitting on the beach!!! So I rigged the longboard and 9.4 again and went for a cruise to the R.Orwell and back to the Bawdsey Martello(7miles there and back).By this time the wind had filled in to 18 kts+,so being too late in the day to be bothered to change I just gritted my teeth and scared myself !!! I had some mega broad reaches 2 miles + and some great beats into the Deben river mouth and back to the dip.It just seemed so much faster on the big board !! I decided to call it a day before I broke something as Peter Cutts was out fully powered on his 6.5 and managed to clock over 26 kts as the sea flatten a little !! So a great star to the month considering no wind was forecast :)
